Brassicamidopropyl Dimethylamine is a hair conditioning agent, cationic (when neutralized), with superior properties compared to cetrimonium chloride, behentrimonium chloride, and stearamidopropyl dimethylamine. It provides excellent:
- Hair Lubricity. The material contains a majority of behenyl (C22) compounds that yield superb dry combability without build-up.
- Cationic Charge. Its electrostatic attraction to hair can be tailored by adjusting formulation pH. The lower the pH, the greater its cationic charge.
- Formulation Stability. It can be the primary emulsifier to build high viscosity formulations.
